Vintage Carnival Shoot

I just got a new lens, the Canon EF 50mm and I am in love with it. The pictures are clear and the lens is very compact. We took a trip to the fair recently and here are some of the pictures that I took that day. I can't wait until she gets old enough that I can bribe her for cooperation in photos.

County Fair Pillowcase Dress

I wanted something a little country for Dylan to wear to the fair. I saw this quilt pattern bandana material at hobby lobby and new that it was it. This is a simple pillowcase top and I made her a belt using different types of ribbon.

Outfit Fit for a Carnival

Our Walmart final got its fabric back yeah! They had this adorable rainbow fabric that I wanted the moment I saw it. This skirt is simple to make, it is a simple Peek-a-boo skirt without any room to tie it up.  The shirt applique or should I say reverse applique came from Planet Applique of course.

Animal Boutique Outfit

Dylan's outfit for her first trip to the zoo.
I found the fabric and ribbon at Hobby Lobby and got the embroidery design from Planet Applique. The top is a simple pillowcase dress and the pants are a pattern by Pink Fig.

Garden Party Wedding Shower

 Posted by Mandy

I threw a wedding shower at my house this last weekend for a good friend of mine. I wanted it to feel cozy and intimate so I set up a large table and 12 seats on my patio and set the theme to french cottage of course.

I bought these water glasses at the local dollar store for a buck each. While there I saw these great pizza pans and could not resist grabbing them to use a charges, also just one dollar each.

I lined the table with mason jars filled with candles and flowers.

The gift table.

My mom and I found these lanterns at Warrington trade days a couple of weeks ago. They were such a great deal because the glass was broken out. Pottery Barns sells them for $150 each and we picked them up for just $27.

Thanks to my friend Crystal who took these photos and helped with the shower.

Cherry Toddler Outfit

Posted by Mandy

I got the skirt fabric from JoAnns and found a cherry embroidery applique and used my Embird software to make it just how I wanted it to look. I think it came out pretty cute although the little turkey would not sit still so I could take her photo.

Rustic Photos

I took the girls photos as mother's day gift for our mom. This was the first time she would have a photo of all six grand girls.

There were so many mosquitos in this field we had to take the photos really fast. The girls did great, they were such troopers, and not one bite on anyone.

Tracy posed the girls in this adorable picture. She has a great eye, something I am trying to desperately learn to improve my photography.

Farmhouse China Cabinet

Posted by Denise

I like cream and browns and I get inspired from Laurie Anna's Vintage Home. The wrought iron charges and cake plate are from the Chris Madden Collection and the dishes are from Laurie Anna's of course.

This antique silverware is sitting in creamers I found at Ross for $1.99 each.

These dessert plates are from Pottery barn, another store I love.
